Our 2021 LVE Chardonnay is full, rich and balanced. The nose boasts aromas of white fruit, star jasmine and honeydew melon. Full, rich and long on the palate, it's reminiscent of crème anglaise and toasted brioche with a hint of nutmeg and citrus zest.
The grapes for this Meritage are grown in the famed Napa Valley appellation across five vineyards. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on the hillsides surrounding Rutherford and produces nice, concentrated fruit. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc are from vineyards on the east side of St. Helena while the Malbec and Petit Verdot are both grown within the Rutherford AVA which has heavier soils and provides more structure to the wine.A beautiful purple in the glass, aromas of Bing cherry, raspberry and chocolate entice the nose with an added hint of earth. This is a full-bodied wine with a rich palate of strawberry, mocha, toasted almond and cassis flavors. Refined tannins and well-integrated acidity are enhanced by a elegant and lengthy finish.
The grapes for our Estate Collection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon are grown in four vineyards within the Rutherford and Oakville AVAs. The grapes from Oakville provide the plush texture while the fruit from Rutherford adds structure and density to the wine.This 2019 Estate Collection Cabernet Sauvignon embraces the nose with aromas of dark plum, ripe cherry, toasted almond and a touch of cedar. Rich, condensed flavors of blackberry, raspberry and cranberry are layered with notes of spice and dark chocolate. Full-bodied with structured tannins and a silky, soft mouthfeel, the finish is long and alluring.
92 points, Wine SpectatorThe grapes were harvested primarily from our Rutherford estate with a splash from another vineyard to really enhance the appellations characteristics. Fruit was selected from the older blocks that are planted in Pleasanton Loam soils.Charming aromas of blackberries, stewed plums, chocolate mint, tobacco, earth and spice emerge from the glass. This is a full-bodied wine with loads of black fruit preserves and crème de cassis. It has a good mid-palate depth and velvety tannins. The finish is balanced and lingers.
