The Forward Silt Loam soil has excellent drainage and the grapes were harvested from a shadier side of the vineyard to avoid over exposure to the sun.

Our 2019 LVE Chardonnay is full, rich and balanced. The nose boasts aromas of white fruit, star jasmine and mango. Long on the palate, its reminiscent of caramelized butter and almond with a hint of cardamom and citrus zest. The wine was 100% barrel fermented in a mix of Francois Frere and Baron oak barrels 38% new for 8 months before bottling. The wine went through 100% malolactic fermentation with a mix of native and inoculated ferments.
