96 points, Jeb Dunnuck95+ points, Wine AdvocateA deep garnet purple in color, the nose reveals black currant, baked black cherries, anise, boysenberries and a hint of candied violets. This is a fruit-forward, juicy and bold wine with layers of black and blue fruits, dark chocolate and a touch of mint and spice. Full-bodied and rich with round and finely-grained tannins there is a nice freshness on the long and fragrant finish.
The grapes for the Generations Chardonnay come from our estate vineyards in Jameson Canyon located at the southern end of Napa Valley and a vineyard over 1,400 feet in elevation in the Atlas Peak appellation. The Jameson Canyon estate vineyard is planted on rolling hills with cooling winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean that provide a long, cool growing season enhancing the intensity of the Chardonnay flavors and maintaining bright, balanced acidity.
