Rich, full-bodied and sumptuous, it has a dazzling silky texture and just enough freshness supporting the extravagant fruit, with a long and perfumed finish.
Our Small Lot Collection Malbec grapes come from our Rutherford Estate which is farmed organically and biodynamically. A small portion of Petit Verdot from St. Helena is blended in to provide more density and helps balance out the tannins of the Malbec.A brilliant purple in the glass, fragrances of raspberry, Bing cherry, and chocolate seduce the nose with an added sprinkle of earth. This is a full-bodied wine with a lush palate of strawberry, cocoa, toasted almond and cassis flavors. Elegant and refined tannins and integrated acidity are enhanced by an elegant and lingering finish.
The grapes for this Meritage are grown in the famed Napa Valley appellation across five vineyards. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on the hillsides surrounding Rutherford and produces nice, concentrated fruit. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc are from vineyards on the east side of St. Helena while the Malbec and Petit Verdot are both grown within the Rutherford AVA which has heavier soils and provides more structure to the wine.A beautiful purple in the glass, aromas of Bing cherry, raspberry and chocolate entice the nose with an added hint of earth. Harvest of the 2020 vintage occurred between October 12th and 16th. The Petit Sirah grapes were picked from our estate vineyard in Rutherford with rich, dense soils that elevate the tannin and structure of the wine. The Petit Verdot grapes came from our estate vineyard in St. Helena. The elements of these two estate vineyards combine to reflect a wine rich in Napa Valley history and terroir.Rich fruit aromas of black cherry, red plum, and blackberry welcome you into this voluptuous fruit-forward wine. Structured with robust flavors of blueberry and blackberry with a hint of coee and allspice intertwined into the complex and textured palate. Well-balanced with soft, refined tannins, this is an approachable wine with a harmonious finish that is fierce and enduring.
Our Small Lot Collection Syrah grapes come from a single vineyard in the Oak Knoll AVA. The vines are planted to Fagan clay loam formed from shale and sandstone. The vineyard sits at 350 feet on a western facing hillside location wich allows the Syrah to become ripe without over ripening.The 2020 Small Lot Napa Valley Syrah is an extravagant dark ruby color in the glass. Alluring aromas of ripe fruits, toasted almonds, and a dash of oak drift from the glass. Bold flavors of spiced plum, baked blueberry pie, and allspice coat thepalate. The lush, well-rounded mouthfeel leads to a memorable and lengthy finish.
The grapes for this Napa Valley Chardonnay come from two blocks within a single vineyard in Jameson Canyon. The blend is a 50/50 split of Clone 4 and the Dijon clone. Winds flow through Jameson Canyon, carrying in the cooling influence of the nearby Pacific Ocean and provide a long, cool growing season that enhances the intensity of the Chardonnay flavors. With partial malolactic fermentation, the wine was 100% barrel fermented in 53% new French oak barrels and sur lie aged for 9 months before being bottled.
Our 2020 Sonoma County Rosé opens with enticing red fruit aromas of watermelon, strawberry and rose water. The palate is nicely textured with bright acidity and lively flavors of pomegranate and raspberry. The finish is refreshing and flavorful.
The grapes for the 2020 Napa Valley White Meritage come from two distinct vineyards. The Sauvignon Blanc is from a single vineyard in Jameson Canyon while the Semillon is harvested from a vineyard grown in Yountville. The Semillon lends great density and creaminess to the wine.Floral notes of jasmin and orange blossom greet the nose with a touch of citrus zest. Flavors of melon, apricot and peach are complimented by toasted brioche. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, the finish is rounded out by a nice minerality.
